Oenophile’s Paradise: Five of The Best Wineries in Florida

Florida is often known as the vacationers-paradise, but it’s much more than that. It’s a nature-lovers paradise, a party-goers sanctuary, a family’s haven, and an oenophile’s favorite beachy destination. If you visit for the wine, we list some of the best wineries in Florida, below—check them out!

Henscratch Farms Vineyard and Winery, Lake Placid

If you plan to travel with kids but still want to explore a winery, head to Henscratch Farms. It’s a winery everyone can enjoy; they have U-Pick seasons (strawberries and grapes), a shake shack, winery production tours, and more. Come for a relaxing day of family fun.

Schnebly Redland’s Winery, Homestead

This is a winery you’ll never forget, because Schnebly’s has an atmosphere like no other. It’s adorned with Spanish moss-lined waterfalls, tiki huts, and wooden barrel tasting tables; they provide oenophiles quite a different take on the typical winery experience. Apart from the décor, their specialties are wines made from mango, coconut, avocado, guava, passionfruit, and more.

Rosa Fiorelli Winery, Bradenton

Found in Central Florida, Rose Fiorelli Winery is one of the most traditional wineries you can find in the sunshine state. There are plenty of acres solely for growing grapes, and they have an intense commitment to quality that we admire. They produce six to ten different wines on a yearly basis, and their dry wines are incredible. Come for the wine, and stay for a painting class.

San Sebastian Winery, St. Augustine

You may not have a vineyard to tour here, but the wine tasting more than makes up for it. San Sabastian Winery consistently ranks as one of Florida’s premium wineries and continues to develop unbelievable wines from Muscadine grapes. They get most of their grapes from a sister winery, Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards. Visit their Cellar Upstairs for an unforgettable wine, jazz, and blues bar.

Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards, Clermont

Just 25 miles west of downtown Orlando sits the beautiful Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards on a 127-acre estate. They’re the largest of Florida’s premium wineries, and they continue to lead the pack in Noble Muscadine grape varieties, as well as Vinifera varieties. They offer wine tours, various festivals and events, and of course, some of the most exquisite wines. It’s the perfect place to come for a picnic.

If you plan to visit one of these wineries, make sure to drink responsibly and understand the different ways alcohol affects your body. Enjoy your glass of wine, but do so safely!
