As part of the Biscayne National Park, this campsite gets a lot of visitors. Only accessible by boat, the national park boasts coral reefs, mangrove trees, dolphins, and turtles. Sadly, that makes this island not RV friendly, but better for campers traveling light. You can explore the wondrous ecosystem via boat, kayak, or take a guided eco-adventure through the mangroves. However, we will warn you that this campsite is popular amongst young people looking to have a good time. But the view is certainly worth it!
Juniper Springs resembles a subtropical paradise and has long served as one of the most beloved recreational areas on the East Coast. This complex provides campground sites, picnic areas, swimming pools, and a bathhouse for overnight guests. During the day you can canoe, bird watch, paddle, hike, swim, and snorkel; come the end of the day, you can rest at your campsite in the heart of the forest. There are 78 campsites spread out through the forest complete with grills, campfire rings, hot showers, and flush toilets.
The magic of Disney meets the great outdoors at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Disney World can be overwhelming, so head over to this campsite to experience the most magical place in the world in a more reserved location. With a name like Disney, you can be sure there will be plenty to do and see. They offer onsite recreation, such as archery, horseback riding, canoeing, campfire sing-alongs, horse-drawn carriage rides, and 2 swimming pools—one with a 67-foot long corkscrew waterslide. They also offer restaurants at the site for your convenience and a shuttle service to whisk you away to other Disney restaurants in the area.
